El Desierto

I just bought Lhasa De Sela's La Llorona album!  I learned about Lhasa de Sela a few months ago when I unexpectedly heard her "El Desierto" song, which I fell in love with instantly.  Lhasa passed away recently from breast cancer; she was incredibly young.  Fortunately, she lives through her impactful music that takes me on different musical voyages.  

So far my favorite song from the album is, of course, "El Desierto", but "Floricanto" caught my attention immediately.  You could bet that I will be listening to her album a lot so I will slowly but surely begin to find the intricacies of her songs.  

The lyrics are just perfect, like this one: 

He venido al desierto pa'reirme de tu amor    I have come to the desert to laugh about your love,
Que el desierto es mas tierno y la espina besa mejor     Since the desert is more caring and the thorn kisses better [than you]

Acabo de comprar el album the Lhasa de Sela La Llorona que me encanta.  Lhasa fallecio hace poco de cancer del ceno.  "El Desierto" es una de mis canciones favoritas por la voz de Lhasa, por la letra y por la musica en general.  Habla del amor que se acaba.  Desafortunadamente es algo triste pero muy real.
