Lila Downs has a new song! She's collaborating with Benny Ibarra. To be honest, I was a bit afraid that the song would be too mainstream, but fortunately it just hit the right note. Recently, I saw Lila at the the Disney Hall in Los Angeles and she was just phenomenal! Her song interpretation is pure genius and her voice just makes me feel a whole world of emotions. Plus, her songs give you a history of a history of Mexico from pre-Colombian times to today.

Lila estuvo por Los Angeles hace poco y la fui a ver. Me encanta esa mujer con sus diferentes canciones. Lila es la Chavela Vargas, Lola Beltran, y Amparo Ochoa de nuestros tiempos.
