The Secret in their Eyes

I watched The Secret in Their Eyes (El secreto de sus ojos), the Argentinian film that won the Best Foreign Film Oscar last year.   It is definitely a film I'd recommend.  I was thinking about the characters today and, to me, the moral of the story is that it is important to move on after traumatic events.  We can't live in the 'what if's' or else we'll spend the rest of our lives stuck in one episode.  The film is about a couple of investigators trying to figure out a horrible crime.  It's a drama, a love story, a critique on justice, on Argentina's government, etc.  Although, at times, the movie is a little too self-aware and tries to take itself too seriously, it's definitely worth watching.



Acabo de ver la pelicula El secreto de sus ojos que viene desde Argentina.  La pelicula gano el Oscar en 2009 como mejor pelicula extrangera.  En este mundo, no sabemos cual es la verdadera justicia.  Sera la policia, el sistema juridico?  Sera un hombre comun que sufre por el asesinato de su novia.  El caso es que me gusto mucho la pelicula.  La moraleja que aprendi es que tenemos que seguir viviendo despues de eventos grandes y dolorosos.  La vida sigue y si no seguimos con ella, pues no seguimos viviendo.
